Nepal made considerable progress on MDGs, but its performance among the people of Karnali Province,Sudoorpaschim Province and social group like Dalit was uneven. Building on the legacy of MDGs, Nepal has internalized the SDG framework and also prepared a country report. However, social disparities continue to remain unaddressed. Therefore, SAMATA Media Center-SMC works to raise awareness about SDGs among Dalit, raise their concerns into the mainstream discourse and inspire people to take actions at the grassroots level. SAMATA Media Center-SMC is also engaged in the review and follow-up of the implementation of the Agenda 2030 from Dalit’s perspective.
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) like Goal 1, 2,3,4, 5,8,10 and 16 are directly or indirectly related the marginalized communities especially Dalit.
